The eCommerce Web Developer at Sigma Micro will focus on creating incredible user experiences by creating production-quality HTML/CSS/JavaScript code within the SigmaCommerce eStore Builder. A successful person in this role will be highly creative and have a strong technical understanding of how dynamic platforms fundamentally work. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Create ecommerce sites using CSS/Javascript/HTML, including graphic design, site navigation and layout of content for client websites
  • Implement front-end designs within a web-based CMS (Content Management System).
  • Constantly look to improve user-interface design, function and implementation of client websites
  • Other special projects as assigned.

Scope

The eCommerce Web Developer at Sigma Micro works within the Company with direct supervision from the Director, Creative Services.  The level of responsibility for the position may rise from what is stated above to the capabilities of the individual.

Requirements

  • Expert with CSS 2.0
  • Expert with JavaScript (Experience with jQuery preferred)
  • Obsessive over perfect (x)HTML
  • Minimum 3 years producing user interfaces and visual designs
  • Minimum 3 years in human factors, human computer interaction, graphic design, or related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability testing methods
  • Strong understanding and experience with the full software development life cycle.
  • An understanding of ecommerce best practices and methodologies
