NBC, Fox and Hulu - WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!? #tv

Back Post to Twitter Share
I thought we had a good thing going, I really did. Things were running so incredibly smoothly. We laughed together, we cried together, we grew together, you gave me so much, and in return I watched all of your advertisers commercials. But then you had to go and completely screw it all up.

Pulling your content from Boxee.tv, are you serious, really - are you nut's?

Boxee.tv, (http://boxee.tv) you know - the only thing we shared together, quite possibly the greatest piece of software to hit my mac since MacPaint, is the only way I would ever consume your Ads. Give me the shows, when and where I want them,  and I will kindly watched the ALL of your client's commercials.

But don't you see that this action is only going to cause the masses to run back to the http://thepiratebay.org/ and start downloading these shows (like we used to) via bittorrent (for free, with no ads, high quality)? Holy hell, whomever in your organizations decided this, should be taken outside and promptly tarred and  flogged.

And really, how is Boxee - the application any different than Safari, Firefox or Internet Explorer? Sure it doesn't act like a normal browser - but fundamentally that's all it is.

Please, for the love of god, do not go down this muddy path. Maybe sometime in the future I can learn to forgive and love again, but it will be hard to trust that you won't do this again.

Just give us the content back and we will continue to watch your commercials. Don't give us the content back, and you are just throwing us back in to the days of Napster.
